Ok first you have to love bananas to read this post, but beware of risks from indigestion!
I was walking one morning last week in search of some typical Saigon life scenes when I found myself beside a branch of the river in District 4.
There I came across an interesting place with boats arriving from the Mekong Delta, boats filled with their cargos of fruits.
These boats were not really what was interesting but I was amazed by the incredible banana traffic in the street. Tons of bananas loaded on cyclos, carts, motorbikes, bicycles ….. bywholesalers or retailers who will sell them in the streets of Saigon.
Even small women carrying their two bamboo baskets had them filled with kilos of bananas.
And finally I stayed over there 2 hours watching all these people loading and unloading, a pleasure that I am happy to share with these few pictures:
OK do you still like bananas now ???
