Hi there
Back on a new photo tour around the Mekong Delta for a few days we were hanging around a coconut factory where they were unloading a boat full of coconuts. It was really impressive to watch those men carrying baskets of coconuts on their shoulders.
There are approximately 60.000 peeled coconuts in a boat and 3 men are necessary to unload it. Knowing that 30 coconuts can fit in a basket it is easy to know how many baskets those 3 men need to carry.
It takes about 5 hours to unload the boat
And one last information, a man will peel 1000 coconuts in an day… tough job but still always smiling
